I have worked in live entertainment for more than thirty years. I started as a trombonist, became an arranger, music director and artistic director, and today I design and program lighting for variety shows, circus, musical theatre and events.

I live in Mallorca and work on international productions, mostly in Germany, with grandMA3 and grandMA2, lighting networks and systems integration.

Timeline

  1. 1984

    First steps on trombone in the Porreres town band.

  2. 1995

    Trombone diploma from the Palma Conservatory. Substitute player with the Balearic Symphony Orchestra until 1999.

  3. 1997

    I join Son Amar as trombonist and arranger. Music producer and studio engineer at Romantic Corporate until 2010.

  4. 1999

    Director of the Porreres municipal music school until 2004.

  5. 2004

    Music director of Mallorca So: Queen Simfònic (2005) and Mecano Simfònic (2007).

  6. 2007

    Artistic director of Son Amar.

  7. 2009

    Moving into technology: sound and lighting for the Medieval show in Bunyola.

  8. 2022

    First productions in Germany with DaCapo Varieté and first courses as a grandMA3 trainer.

  9. 2023

    I close 26 years at Son Amar, the last ones as lighting designer, programmer and technical director.

  10. 2024

    Circus-Theater Roncalli: Berlin, Cologne, Recklinghausen and more.

  11. 2025

    Roncalli’s Apollo Varieté in Düsseldorf and Festival Cap Rocat in Mallorca.

  12. 2026

    Circus meets Schlager in Oberhausen and Lola Lolita Land at IFEMA Madrid.

Stage experience

Son Amar in Mallorca was my home for 26 years (1997–2023). I joined as a trombonist and arranger, became music director and artistic director, and ended up as lighting designer, programmer and technical director. I know the show from the stage and from the control booth.

Since 2022 I have designed and programmed in Germany for DaCapo Varieté, Circus-Theater Roncalli and Roncalli’s Apollo Varieté. In Spain, among others, Festival Cap Rocat, Lola Lolita Land at IFEMA and large-scale events in Barcelona.

Technology and training

Console programming, Art-Net and sACN networks, systems integration and visualisation. Technical work serves the stage production.

I am a certified grandMA3 trainer with Stonex Lighting and Academia Diivant, and have taught 23 courses in Spanish and English, in person and online.

I also build free tools for technicians: Fixture Finder, GDTFCreator, gma3Remote and NetSpectra.

A foundation in music

I have played trombone professionally since 1991: the Balearic Symphony Orchestra, the opera seasons at the Teatre Principal in Palma, the Simfonia Brass Quintet (first prize at Art Jove 1996) and many orchestras and big bands. I have also worked as an arranger, music director, producer and studio engineer, music editor and teacher. That is why I think of light as part of the music: rhythm, breathing and dramaturgy.
